When Was the Last Time .... faced your fashion fears?

The other day I saw a blog post with a really short black and red mini skirt I really liked.
Showing so much of my body isn't my thing in blog posts but she looked confident.
However, the moment I saw it, I started to think about how this blogger "risked" being mocked about her legs.
So I started to have a look at the comments and did not find any negative one.
And I felt happy and also a bit ashamed that I did not find any negative one.
Are her readers so positiveand supportive  or was that my insecurity about my own legs that I reflected and made prejudices about negative comments? So I started to think about confidence.

According to  confidence means the following:

"1. full trust; belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of a person or thing:
We have every confidence in their ability to succeed.
2. belief in oneself and one's powers or abilities; self-confidence; self-reliance; assurance:
His lack of confidence defeated him.
3. certitude; assurance:
He described the situation with such confidence that the audiencebelieved him completely."

And I found that I sometimes lack the confidence to wear something I like.
But why is that so? Why do we even bother thinking about what others will say about our outfits?
Did that really happen to us before or is it just a prejudice it will happen?

So ask yourself the question: When was the last time I stepped out of my comfort zone and wore something really bold?
And when was the last time I did not wear something I liked because I thought others would judge me?

And if the answer is "A long time ago." to the first one and "Recently." to the second one, check your wardrobe and choose someting bold for tomorrow morning. And wear it. :)

And here are some nice mini skirts as inspiration for those like me, fearing to wear them. :)Mini Skirts

Some of you might remember my post about armoires.
In that post I introduced you to Chairish, a wonderful website for stylish furniture.
Today I'm excited to introduce you to their new sister website.
The amazing selection of Decaso which immediately made me want to design my new living room. On the website and shops of Decaso you can find an ultra-curated selection of  antique and designer furniture offered by the world's most respected dealers.

Do you have a bucket list for your home? Are there any pieces of furniture you really would like to own and adore in your home?

Well, as for me currently I prefer darker colours and leather.

So here are the pieces I would definitely purchase if I had an unlimited budget:

How about you? What would you pick from Decaso's page if you had an unlimited budget?

For today I wanted to bring you a review of the posts related to gastronomy on the blog.

These are the recipes I always grab to when in doubt what to cook.

They are mostly quite quick and easy to make and you do not need to be really experienced to cook them.

So here is the  list:

I love pasta. You can find this recipe here.

In the season of zucchini I often grab to this recipe.

If you have some spinach, corn at home, cook this lasagne for your family.

I really like cream soups as well. How about some leek or pumpkin?

When I do not have much time or energy to cook, I choose this recipe.

Even though I do not eat meat, I do meals with meat for the family. My hubby almost only eats chicken so most of the recipes I use are with chicken.
When having the first paprika and tomato in the garden I always cook this meal.

Another recipe with meat but this time with goose.

Hope you'll like them.

Baked Apples

Image result for apples honey cinnamon

How to make it?

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C

Wash, peel and cut the apples into halves. Core apples, make some cuts on the backside.
Heat the  butter and honey a bit and combine them with the  cinnamon. Pour it on the apples.  Fill a baking dish with about 3/4 cup of water, or enough to cover the bottom. Put it into the oven for 15 minutes.
